Things to do in Granada Hills

Los Angeles County’s second-largest park is a remarkable place to picnic or even host a large gathering like a reunion or wedding. Its vastness allows it to retain an uncrowded feel and has exceptional hiking and biking trails that range from easy to moderate. Dogs on leashes are welcome, and there is a small bark park on-site for off-leash dogs with current licensing and vaccinations.

ET Park pays homage to this blockbuster hit that captured hearts and dazzled perception all around the world, as it is the site of several sequences in the film “ET” (including the well-known flying bike sequence). ET Park is located on a hill in Porter Ranch, California, and has several large grassy areas, a tiny playground for children, a basketball court, and an extensive path network leading to the canyon below.

Bee Canyon Trail is the perfect place for a difficult hike outside of Granada Hills. The trail is 5.6 miles long, and takes approximately three hours to finish. Because it’s partially paved with little shade, be sure to bring water and sunscreen! This park is also great for locals who love activities such as biking, running, or hiking.
